This is a fermented soybean, better for you than most soy products as it does not go through a heating process, this makes it more digestible, it is higher than tofu in protein and fibre. High in vitamins B12, iron and calcium. It is a great probiotic which helps the digestive system to utilize other nutrients.
Tempeh can be bought at all health food shops, in different flavours, play around with them to find your favourite. My favourite is the plain one so I can add my own flavouring.
Slice Tempeh into thin strips, spray or coat with coconut oil
Put in the oven to bake on medium for 15 min,
While warm sprinkle with tamari for a lovely flavour.
You can eat like this, add to your nut mix or crumble over your favourite food
